Key Food to open New Brunswick site
A new Key Food Marketplace is scheduled to open this week in New Brunswick, N.J., Key Food Stores Co-operative said.
The store is at the site of Fresh Grocer store that closed a year ago, and is scheduled to open Friday.
“As Key Food Marketplace opens its doors, the New Brunswick community will get to experience all of the hard work storeowner Kevin Kim has put into this store,” John Durante, VP of business development for Key Food, said. “Customers are sure to love the convenience and variety this store has to offer.”
The abundant produce section boasts a wide variety of fruits and vegetables from local sources, farm direct, and all around world. Il Bistro, the store’s deli department, has a fresh juice bar, salads, premium sushi and sashimi, and a full line of Boar’s Head items. Customers will also find a variety of bakery and hot food items from American, Italian, Indian, and Asian cuisines, all prepared daily on premises and available for catering events up to 300 people.
The store has a large selection of products from all over the world, from spices and dried beans to fresh and frozen fish, as well as a meat department where customers can find meat cut to order and a dairy department with Kosher and Halal products.
“I’m confident that with this flagship store, we will set a new standard for grocery stores in New Jersey,” store owner Kim said. “Our goal is to offer good food at low prices to the New Brunswick community with a staff that is well-trained and customer service-oriented to offer customers the best shopping experience possible.”
