How delivery has helped further Whole Foods’ grasp
In honor of its one-year partnership with same-day grocery delivery service Instacart, Whole Foodsreleased some information about how successful its endeavor has been. Customers collectively saved 970,000 hours by using Instacart to shop with Whole Foods. According to BI Intelligence estimates, Instacart has driven just over $4 million in sales for Whole Foods over the past year. For context, Whole Foods’ total revenue in 2014 reached $14 million.
- Instacart delivered about $660,000 worth of bananas from Whole Foods.
- Instacart delivered about $1 million worth of apples from Whole Foods.
- Instacart delivered about $1.3 million worth of eggs from Whole Foods.
- Instacart delivered about $1.2 million worth of avocados from Whole Foods.
