Recalled cucumber linked to 285 salmonella cases, 1 death
A salmonella outbreak that has sickened 285 and killed one in 27 states has been linked to imported cucumbers distributed by Andrew and Williamson Fresh Produce, according to the CDC.
The produce company announced Friday it would recall all cucumbers sold under the Limited Edition label from Aug. 1 through Sept. 3. The cucumbers were imported from Baja California, Mexico and distributed to retailers, foodservice companies, wholesalers and brokers in Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Minnesota, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas and Utah.
