Report: Florida Walmart stores to serve up fast-food formats

Bentonville, Ark. – Five Walmart stores in central Florida are reportedly getting ready to serve the needs of hungry customers.
According to the Orlando Business Journal, one Walmart supercenter in Ocoee, as well as two each in Kissimmee and Claremont, will offer a new fast-food format featuring the Checkers and Auntie Anne’s chains.

Orlando-based All American Business Associates Inc. will operate the concept and pay rent to Walmart. Work is expected to begin the week of Sept. 14 at a total cost of about $4 million, with the first stores opening before Thanksgiving of this year.

Orlando-based Atlantic Gulf Cos. will serve as the developer, and Provini Construction Co. is the general contractor.
