Lund Food Holdings said Wednesday it is partnering with Unata to launch a new e-commerce and digital customer engagement program at its Lunds & Byerlys stores.
The program, which is underway at six of the company’s stores, will be rolled out next month to the other 21, the Edina, Minn.-headquartered company said.
Lund said the new e-commerce platform is part of its commitment to provide customers with “a unique and sensational shopping experience that consistently exceeds expectations.”
The program involves one-to-one personalization, from homepage to catalog to search to product recommendations, with each step displaying the most relevant items for shoppers based on their individual purchase history and ongoing transactions, the company explained.
It said the program also enables customers to organize and browse the entire product catalog using a variety of filters, including previously purchased items, sales items, organic, gluten-free and local; and it offers an analytics dashboard that can target and manage promoted content to customers and manage online orders in real time.

Toronto-based Unata helps connect all digital retail touchpoints to deliver personalized customer experiences, the retailer said.
“We strive to provide a unique shopping experience for every Lunds & Byerlys customer, and we are confident the new, comprehensive ecommerce platform will help us provide that experience,” said Kevin Baartman, VP, information services, for Lund Food Holdings.
