Tawa Inc. said Friday that it is eyeing a summer East Coast debut for its Asian-focused 99 Ranch Market chain with stores to be opened in the New Jersey cities of Edison, Jersey City and Hackensack.

Tawa, based in Westminster, Calif., operates more than 40 stores doing business under the 99 Ranch Market banner in California, Washington, Nevada and Texas. Tawa acquired the Edison and Jersey City sites as part of A&P's bankruptcy auction. The company said its stores would feature "the freshest produce and highest quality grocery products at incredible prices."
In a release, 99 Ranch said it was seeking employees for all store departments as well as management trainees. It said it was also seeking local vendors to support perishables, deli, grocery and bakery.
