Name better represents corporate entity's collective strength
Save Mart Supermarkets has changed its corporate name to The Save Mart Companies, providing a clear distinction between the Save Mart banner and its parent company, as well as better representation of the corporate entity's collective strength.
In addition to its retail operations, The Save Mart Companies owns and operates three distribution centers and SMART Refrigerated Transport, which delivers goods to the entire family of 205 stores throughout California and Northern Nevada. The Save Mart Companies is a partner in Super Store Industries, which operates a distribution center in Lathrop and the Sunnyside Farms Dairies in Fairfield and Turlock, both of which produce fluid milk, ice cream and other dairy products distributed under the Sunnyside Farms brand.
The new corporate name, which is effective immediately, comes with its own logo and website,www.TheSaveMartCompanies.com, which will launch July 15.
Based in the heart of the Central Valley, The Save Mart Companies ,with headquarters in Modesto, Calif., employs more than 16,000 team members and operates 205 traditional and price-impact stores under the Save Mart, Lucky, Lucky California, FoodMaxx, S-Mart, and MaxxValue banners.
