KeHE Acquires Nature’s Best
KeHE Distributors announced Friday that it has acquired Nature’s Best, a California-based distributor of health, food and beverage products. The acquisition will broaden KeHE’s already expansive distribution footprint and will combine two like-minded wholesalers.
KeHE president and CEO Brandon Barnholt said in a company release that Nature’s Best fits perfectly into his company’s operations. He acknowledged the significance of the distributor’s warehouse management system, its two LEED Gold Certified warehouses, and its “highly respected” Cadia product line.“This combination positions KeHE to fulfill our vision of being the preferred supply chain partner in the natural, specialty, and fresh products marketplace in North America,” Barnholt said in the release.
KeHE, based in Naperville, Ill., is one of the largest natural foods and emerging beverage distributors in the U.S., with access to a deep network of brands and retailers. The distributor has more than 3,500 employees in the U.S. and Canada.The terms of the acquisition have not been noted. BMO Capital Markets is acting as the exclusive financial advisor and Winston & Strawn LLP is acting as the legal advisor to KeHE for the transaction.
